Life Legacy

Debra Kay Clark died on Sunday, January 23rd, 2011, after a long illness. Debra was born in Austin, raised in Creedmoor, and was currently living in Cedar Park. Debra graduated from Del Valle High School and attended Southwest Texas State University.

Debra was preceded in death by her father, Weldon R. Clark, and mother, Margie Faye Clark. Survivors include: aunt and uncle, Margaret and Charles Hipp; cousins, David Hipp, Karen Houston, Rae-Lynn Hipp, Randi Rodriguez, and Haley Houston.

Debra traveled extensively but always loved coming home to Austin to her much loved dogs and cats. She loved music, reading, traveling, gardening, and going to movies and garage sales, but most of all loved being with her animals – Jackson, Jesse, Molly, Madonna, Toby and Spice. Debra loved her solitude but highly valued her close friendships, most of all with her long-time friend, Betty Leach.

During her illness, Debra met many generous caregivers and new friends who gave her tremendous support. Many thanks are given to friends, family and care givers who supported Debra during her illness.

Memorial contributions in memory of Debra may be made to the Central Texas Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 909 Bagdad Road, Leander, Texas 78641.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 5th at 2:00 pm at Beck Funeral Home, 1700 East FM 1431, Cedar Park, TX. Please visit for on-line guest book.
